shelter Amani came to be because a lot of us witnessed the difficult living conditions faced by some refugees in many refugee camps. We wanted to work on providing better living conditions for refugees by building them a safe home that would alleviate their difficult psychological circumstances. This home will be an incentive for positive change for them.
We chose a safe house in Kenya in a good place, surrounded by supportive communities and with access to essential services, to provide a nurturing environment for growth and healing.
